Zwei alte Frauen

The story of two old Indian women from a nomadic tribe high up in northern Alaska. During a harsh winter, the tribe is struck by a famine. The group is forced to leave their camp in search of food. Their chief decides - as tribal law dictates - to leave the two old women behind, as they are considered useless eaters. No one dares to oppose this decision. Yet alone in the wilderness, something amazing happens: the two old women do not give up. Their will to survive triumphs over their anger, and gradually they recall their skills.
