The little girl Wildfang had to leave her home and flee to a foreign country because of the war. Everything there seems cold, unwelcoming, and above all, unfamiliar: the people, the language, the food, and even the wind. Wildfang would prefer to wrap herself in her beloved blanket, woven from memories and thoughts of home. But then she meets another girl in the park, who gradually teaches her the foreign language and laughs with her. And so, Wildfang begins to weave a new blanket from friendship, new words, and new memories that warm her and make her feel at home.
