ZGB/OR

The long-established and indispensable text edition by Gauch/Stöckli, for which Professor Hubert Stöckli has been responsible since 2010, will be released in August 2024 in its 55th edition. This new edition consists of a separate volume for the Swiss Civil Code (ZGB) and the Swiss Code of Obligations (OR), as well as a comprehensive volume that combines both the ZGB and OR. The ZGB part and the comprehensive volume include, among numerous other laws, the Swiss Civil Procedure Code (ZPO), presented in full text and accompanied by numerous contextual references.

Once again, the text edition has been meticulously updated to account for various new developments and to highlight upcoming changes. This new edition consolidates the numerous changes in corporate law, the law of limited liability companies, and the merger law, as well as the new provisions on inheritance law, the data protection law, and the revised land register regulation. Additionally, it includes the new provisions of the ZPO, which aim to improve practical applicability and legal enforcement and will come into effect on January 1, 2025, as well as the regulation associated with the new data protection law and the numerous revised provisions of the commercial register regulation, which will also take effect next year.
