The supplementary booklet highlights various aspects of the advancing pluralization of young people's realities and questions how youth theory should be redefined in response. Current youth theoretical debates are shaped both by homogenizing phase concepts and by theoretical approaches that draw attention to the heterogeneous life situations and styles of youth. However, there is an increasing question of whether a concept of youth can even exist in light of the ongoing pluralization of young people's realities. This topic is addressed in the supplementary booklet with the aim of exploring new challenges for defining youth and outlining the contours of an educationally grounded youth theory.
