Diana Richardson, a sexual therapist and author, is a native South African who graduated in law from the University of Natal in Durban, South Africa, before dedicating herself entirely to the exploration of sexuality and meditation starting in 1979. Her work incorporates the knowledge of ancient Indian and Chinese philosophies as well as modern scientific insights into sexuality. The essence of her teaching lies in the simple and effective keys of love that demonstrate how sex can become a healing and empowering instrument of love. Since 1995, Diana Richardson, along with her husband Michael Richardson, has been leading the "Making Love Retreats." The couple is among the leading experts in the field of sexuality.

The journey to a new understanding of sex begins when we connect with and awaken our inherent male and female polarities, says Diana Richardson. When we embrace our polarity, an attraction develops between man and woman, an organic magnetic intelligence between penis and vagina that strengthens over time. The result is that we need to exert less effort to "make" love—the body does it naturally. This gives us the opportunity to return to our true nature as men and women and to learn the spiritual language of love—through the physical act of lovemaking.
