Guidelines for Occupational Therapy - Tools for Practice, Education, and Science. Improving practice, enhancing quality of care, saving costs, and increasing client satisfaction: the demands on therapeutic health professions are high. Practice guidelines provide information and interventions - systematically and evidence-based.

Volume 2: Home Adaptation. The living space is more than just a place to live - it is full of memories and activities, providing security and protection. When people can no longer move safely in their living space, their activities and engagements also change. Adaptations to the living space improve functionality, reduce risks at home, prevent falls and injuries, and relieve the burden on caregivers.

Occupational therapists evaluate personal and environmental factors as well as daily activities, develop an intervention plan, assist in the procurement or installation of aids, and train their use.
