The aging population is leading to a growing need for support, which public services are increasingly unable to meet. Therefore, it makes sense to examine the adaptation strategies that mobilize older individuals to tackle the challenges they face and to compare them with other age groups. The term 'older people' is complex, as it relates not only to age but also to vulnerability. The aim of this study was to assess the economic status and quality of life of seniors in the health zone of Boto in the South-Ubangi province. The quality of life for seniors remains precarious, as the Congolese state does not provide for their economic needs. In the DRC, it is difficult to understand the situation of seniors, as there has never been a comprehensive census of older individuals. These people are not cared for and are largely left to their own fate.
