Product details
Since ancient times, forms of therapeutic cold application have been used. One of these, which has been further developed over the years, is whole-body cryotherapy. Specially designed cold chambers are used for this purpose, in which the temperature is lowered to as low as -170 °C using liquid nitrogen. Initial studies showed positive results in patients with rheumatic diseases. Further studies followed to investigate the effects on healthy individuals and athletes. These current studies from international databases are presented, summarized, and critically analyzed.
