Somewhere in Seoul, one day, the bookstore in Hyunam-dong opens. Yeong-ju, the owner, initially appears unmotivated, just sitting around and reading books. She attended a prestigious university, married a capable man, and worked at a good company. However, at some point, everything fell apart: burnout, resignation, marital conflicts, divorce. Through reading, she manages to confront her past and heal emotionally. From that moment on, the store becomes a different place. People who stop by as customers grow closer to one another and share their stories and feelings. You meet individuals like Min-jun, who works as a barista in the bookstore, the unhappily married Ji-mi, or Seung-u, a writer who is drawn to Yeong-ju. They have all suffered wounds in their lives but still carry hopes within them. They come together here and learn from each other how to navigate life.
