No. By following a few basic rules and choosing waters that match the age and abilities of the children, fantastic memories can be created that also bring the family closer together. Easy whitewater rivers are often overlooked in many river guides. Either hiking rivers are described or the wild rapids. But what about the rivers for whitewater beginners? Until now, there has been no book that describes the best "children's rivers," nor a specific guide for teaching whitewater paddling by age group. This work aims to fill that gap. The author has traveled extensively in Europe with her children, exploring a wide range of different regions. The result is 108 river descriptions from the Pyrenees to the Eifel to the Balkans, including difficulty ratings, photos, and maps. Every river in this book has been deemed suitable for children by kids themselves. Additionally, it is also a great read for paddlers of all ages looking for rivers with easy whitewater (WW I to WW III).
