Wie war das Leben zur Zeit Jesu? (Set)

Many of Jesus' parables and other New Testament narratives only become understandable when one grasps how Jesus' contemporaries lived. Therefore, in this learning workshop, students explore the geographical features of Palestine and the living conditions of its inhabitants. They also engage with the characteristics of the Jewish religion, the Hebrew language, dietary habits, and typical professions. Methodologically, this workshop offers a lot as well: students create a house from the time of Jesus out of a shoebox, along with matching dress-up figures in appropriate clothing, play a domino game, grind flour, and much more. The dice game "The Journey to Jerusalem" rounds off the workshop.
