This collection of poems is inspired by the cultural achievement of sewing and the vivid language it has developed. It consists of 50 short texts that explore the textures of the torn and frayed, of hemming and sewing. Meanings intertwine and dye fabrics and texts. The poems depict sewing poetically: as a metaphor for the hope that what is torn could be whole again, that what has been ripped apart could come together again. The rhythms of machines and stitches, the needle-like precision of language, and the multitude of associative spaces characterize this volume. While working on the poems, collage artworks related to the texts were created, which can be found as colorful illustrations in the appendix.
