Some traces lead deeper into the past than we would like. Seemingly by chance, police student Julia meets the attractive Nick. However, after their first night together, she discovers that he has given her a false name and bears a huge swastika tattoo on his back. Julia is shocked - why did Nick lie to her? Suddenly, her life spirals into a nightmarish turmoil that threatens to take away everything she holds dear. The search for the truth takes Julia into the deserted forests of the Eifel and to the Westwall, an old defense system from World War II. And thus back into her own past.
