The tasks in Volume A are somewhat easier than those in Volume B. Children soon master the connection of letters - but have they also grasped the meaning of what they read? The goal of every reading lesson is to be able to read letters and syllables, words, and sentences fluently. However, if this is only done superficially, without focusing on the content, it remains mechanical reading. This type of reading misses the actual goal, which is to read and understand a written message.

The assignments in "Reading and Understanding 5th/6th Grade" teach the technique of information absorption, allowing children to demonstrate their understanding of the text by solving exciting, entertaining, and educational tasks.
