Overview of the concept: The chapters are introduced by attractive, problem-oriented double pages. The analysis of the illustrations provides immediate access to the topic and allows for initial structuring. An introductory text presents the respective theme. This is followed by a list of questions that will be addressed in the subsequent sub-chapters. The chapters conclude with a final double page that connects back to the introductory double page. Here, in addition to a summary, an overview of the temporal (timeline) and spatial (historical map) development of the respective topic is provided. In the sub-chapters, the presentation pages are clearly separated from the material pages. Many sub-chapters consist of a total of four pages (one double page for presentation and one for material). The number of multiperspective materials has been significantly increased, with many images displayed larger. Author texts have been linguistically simplified. Vocabulary is still explained in English when possible with the minimal English vocabulary. Key historical terms provide both the English word and the German technical term. The tasks are grouped together, meaning they are summarized under a main theme. The task descriptions place greater emphasis on learning orientation and relevance to the present. For the processing of numerous materials, phrases for discussion are provided. Method pages convey subject-specific methodological competence. Additionally, there is a list of operators, terms for discussions, as well as a glossary, vocabulary, and index.
