About the Work
Securities trading law regulates, among other things, the provision of securities services, the trading of securities including derivatives and financial futures both on and off exchanges, as well as changes in voting rights of shareholders in publicly listed companies. Important regulatory matters include oversight by the Federal Financial Supervisory Authority (BaFin), insider monitoring including the issue of ad-hoc announcements, the prohibition of market abuse (MAR), behavioral, organizational, and transparency obligations of securities service providers, oversight of company financial statements, publication of financial reports, notification and publication obligations, as well as compensation for failure to publish or erroneous publication.

Regarding the New Edition
The new edition takes into account the extensive changes in securities trading law since the release of the 2nd edition, primarily due to the European legislator's restructuring of this legal area. In particular, the WpHG has been significantly amended by the 1st and 2nd FiMaNoG. Additionally, there is an increased use of directly applicable regulations as a regulatory instrument. Accordingly, alongside the WpHG, fundamental European legal acts such as MAR and Rating Regulation are also commented on. The commentary is structured as closely as possible to the systematics of the WpHG.

Advantages at a Glance
Compact and practice-oriented, yet scientifically grounded, explaining German and European securities trading law, commenting on essential securities trading law provisions outside the WpHG (especially MAR and Rating Regulation).

Target Audience
For banks, stock exchanges, financial services, legal practitioners, courts, regulatory authorities, and publicly listed companies.
