The book deals with the central question of value-oriented social action based on norms and its philosophical-ethical foundation and aims to provide answers to the question of its actual motives and objectives. In addition to ethical concepts of values and basic political values, the understanding of social norms and specific forms of ethical action in the context of the social, the book deals, among other things, with the cardinal demand for the establishment and preservation of "social justice" as a special challenge of norm-oriented social work. The book not only lays a theoretical foundation, but also takes a practice-oriented approach by establishing clear references to various fields of action and tasks.
