Welten im Zusammenstoss

Summarizing Immanuel Velikovsky's work or even just his book "Worlds in Collision" in a few sentences is an impossible task—not only because of the complexity of his theories but also due to the risk of enormous misunderstandings that can arise when one does not have the entire precise chain of argumentation in front of them. Therefore, it can only be said that Velikovsky found numerous, culturally transcending indications of massive catastrophes in ancient literary sources that have afflicted the Earth in historical times. Our ancestors were witnesses to these events, and much of what shapes our Earth, our worldview, our thinking, feeling, and beliefs today has been molded by these cataclysms. Velikovsky succeeded in dating some of these catastrophes and even identifying their causes, uncovering connections in the process.
