The standardised writing of each number is introduced on a double page, starting with exercises for tracing, writing in smaller and smaller boxes and various motivating exercises relating to the respective number. This is followed by mixed exercises on the digits, which support the automatisation of writing the digits. Exercises for recording and visualising quantities round off the programme.
