Welches Afrika?

This research, the result of a master's thesis defended in 2017 at UDESC, focuses on discussing the perspectives of teaching African history from the supervised curricular internships of the Undergraduate History course at UDESC, that is, from the initial training in history. The aim was to examine the representations of African history and people of African descent that students acquire as interns within the framework of the supervised curriculum internship. Based on Federal Law 10.639/2003, which mandates the teaching of African and Afro-Brazilian history in schools, this study sought to understand the changes and continuities following the enactment of this law. In this context, this research contributes to discussing the main conflicts and obstacles surrounding the experience of teaching African history in basic education, particularly through the practices of teachers in initial training.
