Product details
The first edition of the guidelines Volume 2 was published in 1967 and has since seen 14 different editions. In 2020, the title "Advanced Training for Horse and Rider, Guidelines for Riding and Driving, Volume 2" was completely revised both linguistically and in content, incorporating proven experiences as well as new insights. Adhering to and implementing this knowledge leads to a species-appropriate training of the horse, thereby ensuring its health, well-being, and performance.
Volume 2 contains the most important principles of advanced training for riders and horses in dressage, jumping, and eventing, based on a correct and versatile basic training. This is thoroughly described in "Basic Training for Riders and Horses, Guidelines for Riding and Driving, Volume 1."
In this revised 14th edition of "Guidelines for Riding and Driving, Volume 2," the training process in advanced dressage, jumping, and eventing is described even more precisely and in detail than in previous editions. The interconnections of training, the criteria for training levels up to the highest classes of each discipline, and the respective exercises and lessons are comprehensively and thoroughly explained. All suggestions and recommendations have been written by experienced trainers "from practice for practice."
Newly added are learning theoretical approaches that make the learning behavior of horses understandable, as well as fundamentals of sports and training science, which are necessary for a holistic understanding of a promising training and education process. Only in this way can sports training always be compatible with the well-being of the horse. The ultimate goal of training is the harmony between horse and rider, fostering mutual trust, regardless of the discipline and level.
