Journalist Theresa finds a message in a bottle on the beach, containing a love letter filled with desperate longing. Deeply moved by it, Theresa publishes the document in her newspaper column. In no time, she receives more letters from readers that apparently come from the same author. Who is this man? Theresa sets out to find him, and their encounter is fateful: Garrett is still grieving the death of his beloved wife, but Theresa brings something back to life in him that he thought he had lost long ago.
