Weil Demokratie sich ändern muss

The new book series aims to provide a space for the major themes of our society to unfold and a venue for discussion, in order to generate new impulses for politics, science, and civil society. It combines scientific expertise with new viewpoints in politics and practice. At its core is the search for alternatives, the active formulation of action options, and the question of how we envision the future of our society. We aim to create a conscious counterpoint to the short attention spans of the currently dominant digital and visual media, which take place within 140 Twitter characters or 45-minute talk shows. Each volume of the series will focus on a specific theme (capitalism, globalization, poverty), and three to four outstanding individuals from science, politics, and practice will be invited to discuss their perspectives and visions for the future in an interview with us. Over approximately 120 pages, four different perspectives on the controversies of our society will be presented - well-founded, discursive, and opinionated!.
