The Appenzeller Esther Ferrari tells Christmas stories from the Appenzellerland in a lively and captivating manner. The main characters in the five stories include a disheveled angel searching for the meaning of his existence, a young woman who finds her way home for Christmas, a man who overcomes his loneliness and shyness, angel tears that transform into stars, and a cow that gives birth to a Christmas calf. These are stories for the whole family, written in the Urnäscher dialect and translated into standard language, illustrated by Katja Nideröst.
