Our series "Land & Werken" stands for practical and authentic craftsmanship with natural foods and raw materials. The latest volume in this now 15-title series focuses on the topic of basket weaving. It is not only a creative hobby but also a very useful one. Bushcrafter and course instructor Jonathan Ridgeon, who has been living as a self-sufficient person in the forests of Norway since 2015, describes the fundamental skills and techniques as well as different weaving styles in simple step-by-step projects. The reader does not need any prior knowledge, receives an introduction to willow cultivation, and is guided through each project with more than 280 photos and illustrations from the first hand movement to the finished basket. The author works with classic ideas but enjoys reinterpreting them, bringing a fresh perspective to this traditional skill.
