Sagenhaft

In the southernmost village north of the Alps, all sorts of colorful characters and spirits roam about. Each gorge has its own story, and every cliff has its anecdote, passed down from generation to generation for decades. Around a hundred years ago, the future founder of the Bern Adult Education Center, Georg Küffer, worked as a young teacher in Lenk. Fascinated by folklore, he visited house after house, listening to the village's legends. In 1916, this collection was published for the first time as a book. A century later, in 2016, these captivating stories were lightly revised and humorously illustrated by Ted Scapa for a new edition.
