WBV Standortbestimmungen in der Fremdsprachenforschung

The collected volume addresses the topic of locations in foreign language research, discussing the goals and subjects of foreign language didactics, interdisciplinary connections, as well as research methodology and methods in foreign language studies. It explores questions related to didactics in foreign language teaching, as well as perspectives and research approaches based on contributions to the 29th Congress of the German Society for Foreign Language Research (DGFF) in 2021. Among other topics, the following are covered: the interdisciplinarity of foreign language didactics, teacher education, learning and development processes, methodological approaches in foreign language research, norms and practices in research and teaching, multiliteracy and literature, decolonization and critical racism, cultural didactics, foreign language acquisition in primary schools, foreign language writing, inclusion in foreign language teaching, digitalization for teaching and in classroom practice, and empirical and conceptual approaches to school multilingualism in a migration society.
