Attitude and action, ability and knowledge, belong inseparably together in social pedagogy. Case analysis, the planning, implementation and reflection of social pedagogical measures, the theoretically based action in social pedagogical fields of work require knowledge, application and experienced effectiveness of procedures for dealing with professional challenges. The complete action expanded by the authors describes such a procedure that creates transparency about social pedagogical processes, both vis-à-vis a professional public (e.g. in case discussions) and vis-à-vis third parties (e.g. guardians). The authors place empathic understanding as part of a socio-pedagogical and democratic attitude in the didactical focus. The model is designed for the teaching of social pedagogy teachers, but is also suitable for the training and further education of social pedagogy professionals.
