The book deals with a body-friendly approach to learning, which has subtly fallen by the wayside in light of the undoubtedly important use of social and digital media for the future. Our brain, the perceptions and activities of our senses, our imagination and visual thinking, the associated memory, and our communication skills are the true, brilliant foundations of all learning ability. The fundamental idea for the language acquisition presented here is the "language bath." In a so-called immersive, everyday context, learning is facilitated through shared games, experiences, and conversations that do not exclude modern media but primarily nurture the following: multisensory experiences and movement as the physical basis of all learning ability, stimulation of imagination and creative thinking during storytelling and play sessions, symbolism and visual language as a step towards deeper understanding, as well as fairy tales and other stories, finger plays, and poems as language models that simultaneously convey a sense of grammar. In this sense, many game and text suggestions are made to encourage a creative, lively practice. The book is aimed at anyone who wants or needs to learn German: children, teenagers, and adults, asylum seekers, second language learners, as assistance for language delayed individuals, or simply at people who enjoy language and speaking.
