Transnational assistance processes in child protection are an integral part of social work practice. Since child protection inherently involves crossing boundaries, where the involved actors must transcend personal, educational, professional, and institutional limits, transnational child protection adds the dimension of crossing territorial borders. The Interreg project "EUR&QUA – Project for the Development of a Cross-Border Area for International Child Protection" analyzes the organization and implementation of cross-border assistance processes in the largest European macro-region, providing extensive insights into the opportunities and risks of transnational child protection practices and offering suggestions on how cross-border child protection can be successful.
