Product details
The anthology focuses on current scientific and didactic approaches as well as ideas for the redesign of the school and study subject of work education. Science, technology and the world of work have changed just as much as the career choices of young people. In view of these changes, the authors discuss new directions for the curricula and didactics of the subjects of work education and vocational orientation. The contributions make it clear that the promotion of career choice competence and career orientation have the highest priority in a school subject that is supposed to prepare young people for the transition from school to training. The articles in the anthology therefore cover a wide range of topics, from gender-sensitive career orientation to the introduction of work-based education in the upper secondary school and the preparation of student teachers for the transition from school to work. The anthology was produced in the context of the specialist conference on work teaching at the University Days on Vocational Education.
