Was ist der Mensch?

Human beings are self-transcendent and open to the world. Religion, as a relationship to a foundational basis of self and world, is therefore an essential aspect of being human. As an anthropological universal, it is irreplaceable and can only be substituted by religion itself. Modern criticism of religion does not falsify this finding but rather confirms it. At the Pannenberg Colloquium held in October 2021 at the Munich School of Philosophy, these and other topics of Pannenberg's teachings on humanity were discussed in depth.
