Wanderführer Via Sett

The Via Sett leads in seven stages from Chur to Lenzerheide, through Surses to Bivio and over the Septimer Pass into the Bergell region to Chiavenna. Even in Roman times, the Septimer was one of the most significant Alpine crossings. In the Middle Ages, the pass brought wealth to the Bishop of Chur. Kings, armies, pilgrims, and traders crossed the Alps via the Septimer.
