"Master vs. Master" is the third volume of a trilogy that can already be considered a classic, following the first two volumes "Master vs. Amateur" and "Amateur Becomes Master," which serve as a fundamental teaching resource for advanced game management in chess. This volume contains the original 25 games from the period 1970-75, along with 5 additional games from 2008-2010. The book is aimed at interested chess players who wish to advance their skills through the study of high-quality and expertly commented master games, focusing on the strategic handling of all phases of the game, chess technique, the exploitation of mistakes that are specific to masters, and psychological gameplay. Each game is linked to a selected theme, while also addressing many other topics and motifs that inevitably arise during the game. In the openings, the strategic fundamental principles take center stage, which are not subject to significant change. The reader gains insight into masterful play and thinking throughout the entire game, while also being shown the differences compared to amateur play. The example games used in this book have been prepared by the authors at the highest didactic level and may serve as a foundation for further study aimed at achieving mastery.
