The forest is so much more than trees! In their first joint work, which provides a more comprehensive introduction than ever to the secrets of the forest, Germany's most famous forester Peter Wohlleben and the renowned biologist Pierre L. Ibisch combine their outstanding expertise and the latest findings of international science. They shed light on the thicket of a highly complex ecosystem. Using fascinating examples from nature, they reveal the unexpected interplay of plants, animals, microbes, viruses, fungi - a world in which no element can exist without the other.
