Migration und Integration

Issues of migration and the integration of ethnic minorities have increasingly come to the forefront of societal attention in recent decades. They pose immediate challenges, particularly for the social sciences. In this volume, renowned national and international experts address important problems that emerge as central open questions in light of the current state of research. They discuss theoretical and methodological developments that are considered particularly fruitful and guiding for future research. The contributions cover a wide range of phenomena: from the causes of migration to aspects of cultural, structural, social, and emotional integration, as well as processes of ethnic boundary drawing. A fundamentally explanatory perspective is common to all contributions.
