The book presents the results of a representative study in which 6,000 children aged between nine and 14 were surveyed on socially relevant topics. In addition to areas of life such as family, school, living environment, circle of friends, and leisure activities, numerous pressing issues are addressed, including media usage, violence, health, nutrition, child policy, gender roles, and future perspectives. The aim of the study is to create a current snapshot of children's views in order to establish the child’s perspective in public discourse and in decision-making processes in politics and society. The study's results are contextualized by researchers within the current research landscape. Besides its academic applicability, the book offers many important insights specifically for practical application in youth services and child policy.
