Entscheiden in Gremien

When decisions need to be made, this increasingly happens in committees and panels. How are joint decisions reached in groups with a larger number of participants? How do individual proposals prevail and why? What role do verbal contributions play, and what about nonverbal communication? Until now, there has been no method within qualitative social research to systematically investigate such complex interactions. This volume presents a new research method that allows for the step-by-step reconstruction of decision-making processes based on video recordings and the identification of power dynamics.
