"I am always late with the preparations for Advent and Christmas. But this year, the Advent season has never been so chaotic with work and children's appointments. However, today, at some point, the first pre-Christmas feeling arrived. Because there was simply nothing happening. No appointments, no rushing around. No big plans. The day itself was nothing special. We weren't particularly festive, didn't sing Advent songs, bake cookies, or do anything else. Perhaps that was what made it special – a good normality in an abnormal time.
When it comes to creating Christmas spirit, I must sadly admit my failure. But maybe that's the most graceful way to describe the situation right now: no plans, no ideals achieved. No gifts, blissful moments, or wonderful memories created for the children. Not even keeping up with household chores. But with calmness, a framework was created for something to happen. In any case, I was human. In all the exhaustion one can have. And in all the joy of the company of those who shared this day of rest with me.".
