Product details
On May 1, 2019, the Wustermark marshalling yard will celebrate the 110th anniversary of its commissioning. On July 1, 2008, the newly established Rail & Logistik Center Wustermark GmbH & Co. KG took over the marshalling yard from DB Netz AG. Over the past ten years, RLC Wustermark, together with its partners Havelländische Eisenbahn AG and BUG Verkehrsbau AG, has successfully developed the site into Germany's first privately operated marshalling yard. With a forward-looking concept, the BTC Havelland, founded in 2016, aims to establish scientific and educational, commercial, and logistics facilities in the immediate vicinity. This way, the involved companies are setting the stage for a unique innovative model that combines active railway operations with logistics, manufacturing, teaching, and research, all within partly historical architecture surrounding the Wustermark water tower. The Rail Logistics Center Wustermark confidently begins its second decade in 2018, while the Railway Technology Campus Havelland is on the rise.
