Annemarie Griesinger

Annemarie Griesinger, née Roemer, was born on April 21, 1924, in Markgröningen and is a German social politician of the CDU. She grew up as the youngest child and only daughter among five older brothers in a Protestant pastor's family. After World War II, her father founded the local chapter of the CDU in Markgröningen. She became a member of the Young Union in 1956 and two years later joined the CDU. Later, she took on board positions in the northern Württemberg Young Union, the CDU, and the CDU Women's Association. Professionally, she was a social worker, a job title that is most comparable to that of a social worker today. She worked as a career counselor and later as a district social worker in the Ludwigsburg district.
