Herbert Walker, born in 1946, is a graduate civil engineer and business economist (VWA). He became a committed animal rights activist and opponent of animal testing through whole food nutrition, leading him to adopt a vegetarian lifestyle. After training with Dr. Bruker as a health consultant (GGB), he took a break from his learned profession and ran the vegetarian whole food restaurant "Salatschüssel" in Heidenheim for three years. In addition, he conducted whole food cooking and baking courses at the restaurant and various adult education centers, and he began writing: to date, he has published ten cookbooks. He also worked as a freelance contributor for a magazine on building biology. For several years now, he has been working as a business consultant for the construction industry and has published several professional books in this field as well. Cooking and baking remain his main hobbies; he continues to write cookbooks and occasionally teaches cooking classes.
