Vocabulary Learning

The book "Vocabulary Learning" by María del Pilar Lagos Torres provides an in-depth examination of the use of short stories in English classes for fourth-grade children. The study was conducted in a private Catholic school in Bogotá, Colombia, and highlights how the selection of stories that align with students' interests, as well as the development of activities and lesson plans, can positively influence the students' learning process. The qualitative analysis of the research findings shows that reading stories not only enhances children's vocabulary but also makes learning more engaging and meaningful. Through engaging and well-designed activities, students are actively involved in their learning process and motivated.
