Product details
Since the 1980s, Vitra has been constructing buildings on its site in Weil am Rhein in collaboration with leading architects, including Zaha Hadid, Frank Gehry, Tadao Ando, SANAA, Álvaro Siza, Nicholas Grimshaw, and Herzog & de Meuron. Today, the Vitra Campus attracts over 350,000 visitors annually. In addition to the renowned Vitra Design Museum, which features changing exhibitions, the Vitra Schaudepot offers insights into the museum's extensive collection. During a visit to the campus, guests can also participate in architecture tours and workshops, enjoy the view from the Vitra Slide Tower, and then take the 37-meter-long slide ride, experience classics and the latest designs from the Vitra Home Collection at the VitraHaus, and enjoy the unique offerings of the shops and cafés. With around 200 illustrations, the book "The Vitra Campus" provides an overview of the architecture and history of the campus. It is ideal as a souvenir, as preparation for a visit, as a companion for a day on the campus, or simply as informative reading about the most important contemporary architects and their buildings. The third edition additionally showcases the latest projects since 2018: "Ring" and "Ruisseau" by Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec and the Block House by Thomas Schütte.
