Product details

The work examines the structure of the Russian insurance industry, with special consideration given to regulatory law. The insurance market in Russia re-emerged in 1991. Following the turmoil of the transformation processes, it is now experiencing significant growth. To what extent does the long-standing tradition of insurance play a role in this? Which international agreements and organizations influence the legal framework of the insurance sector? What laws and regulations govern the activities of insurance companies? How is ongoing supervision structured? Under what conditions can foreign insurers operate in Russia? The investigation reveals that insurance supervision has consolidated since 2004. Accession to the WTO and EU law will further advance this development.
