Soviet-style authoritarian state socialism failed 25 years ago. But what about the viability of capitalism? Climate change, mass poverty in large parts of the world, unemployment, social cuts and impoverishment also in Europe, neo-imperial wars and conflicts over sources of raw materials and zones of influence - the misery produced by the "free market" and its concomitants call for a fundamental alternative. But is a society beyond capitalism even conceivable? The interlocutors provide a radically critical analysis of the present. And they try to sketch out a utopian society based on a new energy model, an economy of solidarity and direct democracy - and founded on reason.
