The analytical psychology of C. G. Jung primarily focuses on the deeper layers of the soul, such as the contents of the unconscious or the Self as an archetype of wholeness. Jung paid less attention to the social dimension, even though he emphasized, "The unrelating person has no wholeness...". The renowned Jungian analyst and psychotherapist Verena Kast consistently places relatedness at the center of her work, for example, when she explains the emergence of complexes or emphasizes that individuation, the self-realization of a person, is a relational process. Particularly in her later works, she sheds light on current social and socio-political issues such as the phenomenon of conspiracy narratives, the fear of the other, or the handling of hatred. In honor of Verena Kast's 80th birthday, texts from her extensive body of work were compiled, clearly demonstrating that Kast's psychology is a psychology of relationship, placing the focus on the connection to the other and the world, providing essential impulses for a successful life.
