For the first time, the atlas compiles the distribution data of all 184 native butterfly species and the 24 burnet moth species into a coherent picture of their overall distribution, providing an effective tool for their protection. An introduction describes the life cycles of butterflies and their value for ecosystems and nature conservation, offering insights into monitoring. Detailed profiles and vibrant images present the species along with their conservation and threat status, showcasing their distribution in mostly full-page maps.
