Product details

The Egyptian Arabic verb consists, just like in Modern Standard Arabic, of two parts. The first part is the verb conjugated in the perfect tense with the third person singular (he). This part aids in the conjugation of the verb in the perfect tense. In the second part, the verb is conjugated in the imperfect tense with the third person singular (he). This part assists in the conjugation of the verb in the imperfect tense. Therefore, verbs are often listed in their base form. This dictionary features two arrangements, first in German and then in Arabic, allowing students to search for and find verbs in either language. Each line includes the pronunciation as well as the corresponding number of the verb group. There are about 30 verb groups in Egyptian Arabic, each associated with a number. To provide more information on verb conjugation, we present below details of two published titles from Diwan that address the conjugation of Egyptian Arabic verbs: 1. Verb Conjugation and Applications 2. Verb Conjugation for Minimalists.
