Product details

"Living in Ecstasy" begins with a simple question: Why is it generally assumed that ecstasy primarily comes from drugs, even though humans and countless other living beings enter states of ecstasy constantly without substance use? You might expect a book titled "Ecstasy" to primarily discuss drugs. However, that is not the focus, and yet it is precisely what the book addresses. It explores the ecstatic nature of commodities, the dialectic of sobering up, the projection surface of the "dealer," the "total war" against "false" ecstasy, and the connection between perpetual crisis and constant ecstasy, between reflection and liberation, and between being and consciousness expansion. Ecstasy will not replace the uprising; however, the better it is understood and internalized, the more it can potentially be a crucial companion to the uprising. The book, published in 2012, is currently out of print.
